Team Engineer:
You are the leader of the crew. You have the responsibility to report to the lead engineer (Mrs. Lydon/Mr. Cantara) if any issues on your team arise. In addition, if your team has any needs or suggestions for the mission. You will also research and record the following about each planet; availability of water, distance from the sun, temperature, diameter, distance from the earth, atmosphere, makeup of surface, and if any present life-forms exist. After much discussion with your team you will use a program of choice on your laptops to detail out the habitat that will survive on your planet. The team engineer should report in to Mr. Cantara or Mrs. Lydon to show what research you have got.
Nasa Reporter: You will have the responsibility for reporting the teams progress on the mission. Each day you will interview each member of your team making sure they are on track as well as noting their progress/findings. You will use the class flip camera to video the team in action and create an Imovie that will summarize the mission. In addition, you will create a news article using the pages program on the teams information.
Space Navigator: You will be responsible to create a detailed map that would navigate to the planet your team chooses safely and successfully. The map will be done on a piece of oat tag poster and created by using the resources on my portal site. In addition, you will build a model of the transport vehicle. The vehicles will be voted on and the first place model will go on tour in the schools display case. Space navigators show your rough drafts of your maps to Mr. C or Mrs. Lydon. Don't forget to use the books in the classroom for good ideas on your space vehicles.
